Vida Verdiazul
The Junquillal turtle conservation project strives to promote conservation and repopulation of turtle species native to the Pacific coastline. The conservation project began with a focus on the Leatherback species (Baula) but now encompasses all local species including the Olive Riddley (Lora) and Black turtles (Negra). They are always happy to see travelers. Go to say hi, ask some questions, see new born hatchlings, schedule a release or join to the night patrols with them.

Hacienda Pinilla is located only 20 minutes away from Playa Junquillal and is an excellent option for a day of luxury.
There is a beautiful infinity pool that looks over the ocean with lounge chairs. A full service spa (massage, facials and manicures/pedicures are offered), and a nice restaurant and pool-side grill.This place is really nice!! Second floor is a great place to watch the sun set with a nice glass of wine or cocktail. Access to the beach club is $35 per person, if you want services from the spa please call to make an appointment. 2681-4382The other great beach inside Hacienda Pinilla is Playa Langosta. This one is about a mile long and is great for walking and swimming (boogey-board). It is generally pretty private. You can also access Playa Mansita by going to the JW Marriott entrance, then to the right, just follow the signs.
